    it is not a 'must' /necessary to have sirih junjung for bertunang ..it is a norm in the Malay adat to bring along a 'Tepak Sirih' ..the 'sirih junjung' is regarded as 'hadiah iringan' ..an additional gift to the girl together with other items like a set of clothing materials, cosmetics etc
